Surrender...

Today I heard the Father say:
"You might be called, you may even be chosen, but unless you're willing to go through the process- to learn obedience to the Father- it will simply remain just a promise.
A 'calling' doesn't make you 'ready'.
If Christ Himself had to suffer (that's not a pleasant word) what makes us think we're any greater than He is?
He was WILLING to obey His Father, no matter what it cost Him.
He was WILLING to go through a very painful process so that He could be 'acquainted with all our grief.'
The Father doesn't ask us to take on, or go through anything He Himself was not willing to suffer.
It is why He CAN be our High Priest, who, understanding all our ways has not stopped making intercession for us.
He continually prays for us.
He intimately understands.
"...though He was a son..."
He didn't try to use His position as the very Son of God to try & escape, or lessen what He would go through. He could have called a host of angels, to give up, say it's not worth the pain & go back to being adored & glorified in heaven instead of being accused & rejected by men.
But He didn't. Because of us.
He had an exceeding great reward, & it was GREATER than the things He would suffer.
There was a JOY set before Him that carried Him to His cross- through the pain, through the rejection, the torment, ALL of it because He considered the reward of His suffering to be GREATER than the present moment.
The result out-weighed the cost.
He considered it all & said-
"It's worth it. You're worth it ALL."
Father, let my response be the same. In surrender I say, "You're worth it ALL."
Hi Joanna, my heart is strengthened as I read your word about surrendering. Right on the money, girl!! Suffering and walking in the hard places builds character as we lean on Father. He's training us to be Kings and priests! To rule and reign with him in the New Jerusalem!!
Thank you 💗
