Let Go

What does it look like to let go?

What does it mean to surrender?

I heard the Lord say, "Just let Me BE..."

Be what, exactly?

I'm so used to knowing, every moment, what will come next. That's safe.

Comfortable. Secure.

I can control my circumstances to know exactly what will come next. God, just tell me what the next steps are so I can know what to expect.

But, He spoke to me recently & said:

"When you're out walking on water, the temptation is to lean on the understanding you had on land. But physics don't work the same here. Thus you cannot lean on your own understanding. You have to lean on & rely on Mine."

Water is not an element made to be walked on.

But God.

He calls us to experiences that require the miraculous to be possible. But don't you want to know? What would happen if...

If I stepped out into the unknown, throwing myself on His grace & trusting that He's enough. That He who has led me this far will take me the rest of the way too?

Can I trust that?

Guess I'll never know unless I try.

So, here's to surrender. Here's to letting go. Here's to defying gravity & physics, all so that the Lamb who was slain would receive His reward: all of me.

He's truly worthy.
